Recreational Baseball
$250-350

Regular recreational baseball will be played in the Elkhorn Athletic Association (EAA) League.
Level up recreational baseball will be played as part of the Two Rivers Baseball League

What is included in registration?

All registrations include your child’s jersey, belt, and hat.  Hat’s run big so please be aware of that when selecting their size.

What is not included in registration?

Black pants will need to be purchased for your child as part of their uniform.  For level up registrations, there is potential for an additional tournament being added that would not be covered by registration fees.  This amount will not exceed $50 per person.

What is the difference between level up and regular?

As part of level up, there are higher expectations regarding commitment.  It is expected that your child will be at practice and at the games.  Level up will typically practice an additional day per week than regular.  There is potential for an additional tournament that would have to be paid for by the team (NOT included in registration), not to exceed $50 per player.   If the numbers don’t align appropriately for teams to make sense (for example, 14 level up and 7 regular) then joint practices will be held to start the season to allow coaches to evaluate where that division should be based on numerous factors.

Can my child play USSSA baseball in Fort Calhoun?

There will be annual tryouts held for any teams going from rec to USSSA for the following year.  USSSA teams have already been set.  For the USSSA teams that are already set for the upcoming season, they will have to participate in tryouts towards the end of the year if there are additional kids wanting to take that step for the following year.  This does mean that a spot is not guaranteed on the USSSA team, whether you were on the team the prior season or not.  Tryouts will be conducted at Gladiator Park by third party evaluators within the last two weeks of the season to ensure kids are in the swing of baseball still when trying out for the following year.

Season Expectations:

Practices will start around the middle of March.  This will allow winter sports time to wrap up their seasons to minimize overlap.  Games will typically start late April and go through the end of June.  This will include their end of the year tournament.

There are no more team parents and volunteer hours will be managed by each family and submitted to FCYSO according to instructions they will be sending out.  There are numerous ways to get your volunteer hours in baseball and field prep and cleanup is a big portion of that.  The goal would be to allow the coaches to coach instead of having to prep the field before every game and stick around and clean up afterwards.

7U - $250
8U – 12U $350
